Diedré M. Blake is a writer and art therapist, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.  She goes by “D.” and has been called a “Renaissance woman” by friends.

Travelling has always been an aspect of her personal and family history.  She was born in Jamaica.

D. has lived on both the east and west coasts of the U.S., spent some time pondering fairytales and art in Germany, and now is in that place, to which all roads lead:  Rome.  For almost a decade, she has been living with fibromyalgia.

What else?  She has a love of foreign languages and cultures, crafts and collecting, books and people, and learning from everyone and everything around her.

Her personal tagline:  “There is always a path to be found.”

Her favourite quote: “There is no path to happiness.  Happiness itself is the path.” (from Everyday Wisdom by Paul Ferrini)
