To be quite frank…it’s been a while. After listening to the death rattle of my old laptop, I understood that it was time to acquire a new one. Finally, after much contemplation and working through my issues with being hyper-frugal, I settled on an Acer Aspire E 15, which looks like this:
I have high hopes for this laptop. 🙂 The cost was reasonable, and it includes: i5-4210U processor (base speed 1.7GHz, with turbo boost up to 2.7GHz); 6GB DDR3 L memory, 1000 GB (1TB) HDD, etc. In other words, it can hold a lot of “stuff” and still manage to move beyond a snail’s pace. I’m happy.
When I started doing YouTube videos, I hadn’t really thought about the amount of space storing videos would require. And if you happen to be into gaming on any level as well (yes, I can own it), then the space needed, the graphics capabilities required…well, oh my…
So, I’m happy to be back. I’m happy to have a computer that enables me to do the things I need to do as well as the things I love. So, look forward to reading more from me. I’ve been working on my novel (it feels like it will never end), plus some new stories! 🙂 Videos will be posted YouTube by the weekend, and I’m super-happy about this.
In case you are wondering, I’m in Florida at the moment, spending time with family. It’s amazing how quickly children grow! My nieces are now so big! Wow!
I’ll be heading back to Rome by mid-August and spending at least a month there to look for work, see friends, etc. It’s an exhilarating time in my life: major life changes always seem to bring extra doses of adventure, anxiety, and hope.
Until tomorrow (seriously this time!)
D.
It’s so good to hear you’re doing fine 🙂 Can’t wait to read more from you, hope we can catch up when you go back to Rome! Much love from India 🙂
Maggie
